The three rollers are arranged evenly in the framework, and the feed and rolled angle are adjustable, so the equipment are easy to achieve to reduce the wall thickness in greater scope when rolling. Because the framework is open weld assembly, the process of changing roller is relative simple.
A feature of Assel mills are three rolls, offset at 120°, whose axes - as with cross rolling - are inclined towards the tube axis and caused the material to be fed forward. The rolling process is performed with a mandrel bar inserted in the hollow, which in the conventional Assel process is free floating.
