Product Description
Straw chopper is also called chaff cutter, forage chopper and fodder chopper. The machine can chop both dry and green fodder into uniform sizes. It is an ideal machine for making silage for dairy animals. The chopped fodder also becomes more digestible and makes it easier for animals to swallow. 9Z Series straw chopper are ideal machines for medium to large cattle farms. The electric motor or diesel engine for the power is available. The machine could be attached to a tractor with a PTO shaft. Wheels can be fit onto the legs to make the machine portable. Two to four cutting blades are fit on the fly wheel inside the machine.
We further developed rubbing type straw chopper. It usually has been called straw chopping and rubbing machine. Another type is straw rubbing machine (straw kneading machine) and only adopts hammers or blades. Please check it out in our website.
Three types of chaff cutter based on different cutting ways.
1. Straw chopper
Cutting blades are fixed which can only chop feedstock.
2. Rubbing type straw chopper
Hammers and rubbing plate are fixed based on the cutting blades which can chop and rub feedstock.
3. Straw rubbing machine
Hammers or blades are fixed which can rub feedstock into slivers in uniform size to 50 mm which is better for ingestion and digestion.
The rubbing type straw chopper is mainly used for rubbing the grass or straw into slivers in uniform size to 50 mm and has greatly improved the rate of ingestion and digestion. These smaller final particles are better to feed sheep. It combines the chopping and rubbing, and makes the knob breaking and seed crushing rate reach over 80%. It mainly consist of hopper, chopping structure, throwing structure, driving structure, running gear, protective device and rack etc.
