PSA NITROGEN GENERATOR WORKING PRINCIPLE
PSA, short for Pressure Swing Adsorption, is a kind of the advanced technology for air separation,and it
plays an irreplaceable role in nowadays on-site gas supplying.
Carbon molecular sieve (CMS) has obvious adsorption differences to nitrogen and oxygen, there are many
tiny holes inside the CMS, under certain pressure, the tiny holes have different adsorptioncapacity to
nitrogen and oxygen. When air pressure increases, CMS adsorbs oxygen and produces nitrogen, when air pressure drops to normal condition, CMS desorbs oxygen and regenerates itself.
PSA nitrogen generation usually adopts two adsorption towers, which is filled with the CMS, when one adsorbs oxygen and produces nitrogen, the other desorbs oxygen and makes regeneration. This alternate process
constantly produces nitrogen.
