Smart glass,also named as Magic Glass,Privacy Glass or Switchable Transparent Glass ( STG ), also called private glass, smart glass, smart film glass, intelligent switchable glass is a kind of glass that switchable film embedded firmly between two pieces ordinary glass based on existing dry-laminated process. Because of adopting interlayered lamination processing technics makes the glass owns transparence when switch on & opaque when switch off and other laminated.
This special film consists of a liquid crystal polymer which changes its visual appearance when an electrical current is activated. A simple ON - OFF mode transforms the glass from being clear (transparent) to opaque (translucent),it can become Transparent when power on, then opaque when power off.
With such a function, Smart glass meets people’s double requirements of light transmission and protecting privacy.
Main Functions
1.Privacy protection. As most important function, smart glass can be changed from transparent to opaque via easy model ON & OFF.
2. Perfect function of safety. As smart glass is a special kind of laminated glass, it has all the good function of the laminated glass, mainly the security.
3. Blocks more than 99% UV rays ,avoiding fading in the room.
4. Sound proof. With excellent damping action, the smart glass is easy to block the noise.
5.Projection. Smart glass is a good projection screen. When it is under suit light, the perfect projection appears.

Smart glass does not need cleaning and does not fade in the sun like cloth and plastic.
It only requires a small amount of energy to sustain (powering several windows at once uses less electricity than a single light bulb) and electrochromic glass hardly needs any electricity at all.
