FAQ:
Q: Will it be damaged if my heat pump installed outdoors?
No, all of DERON heat pumps are designed to go outdoors and are weatherproof. They will operate perfectly well in all weather conditions including heavy rain and wind etc. We recommend that you cover your heat pump with one of our specially designed winter covers during winter when the heat pump is not in use. This will give your heat pump some additional protection against the weather.
Q: Should I cover the heat pump in winter or stop using it for some time?
We recommend that you cover your heat pump during the winter. And we supply the suitable cover as the optional parts for your choice. Please not that the cover must allow the heat pump to breathe so that moisture and condensation can escape, otherwise corrosion can occur to the components in your heat pump causing permanent damage.
Q: Are heat pumps safe and reliable?
Heat pumps are completely safe and a tried and tested technology. There are no hazardous gas emissions, no flammable oil, LPG or gas pipes, no unsightly fuel storage and no flues or chimneys with heat pump installations. There is no need for regular servicing or expensive annual safety checks, which can work well 10 to 15 years.
