Overview
The HD5573 converts a low-level dc signal from a temperature sensor mounted in a
hazardous area into a 4/20mA current for driving a safe-area load. Software-selectable
features include configuration, ranging, monitoring and testing for eight thermocouple
types, or three kinds of 3-wire RTDs. Each thermocouple model converter has an
integral sensor for the purpose of cold-junction compensation. Configuration is carried
out through a port inside of the module using and a personal computer
