Ice merchandiser 2 tpye cooling system :
A: Cold wall refrigeration system : utilize the merchandiser’s interior wall surfaces. The Ice merchandiser can be defrosted by conventional methods using a wooden paddle or plastic scraper . Its advantage is when power off , it can keep the ice not melt in a short period . Because the wall surface still keep cold in a short period.
B: Auto deforst refrigeration system : Ice merchandiser utilize a cooler evaporator with an electric defrost heating element to melt the frost off the evaporator coil. The defrost cycle is controlled by the defrost timer which energizes the defrost heating element. The control is pre-set to periodically place the system in a defrost cycle automatically every four (4) hours. The length of the defrost cycle is approximately 14 to 16 minutes.
So the Auto-Defrost type Ice merchandiser is with evaporator inside , the Cold Wall type merchandisers is no evaporator inside .
