The structure
The structure of the fume hood is that it has two parts the up part, and the downside part, it has the vent on the top, for install the fan, On the top of the upside cabinet has the guide plate, circuit control touch switch, power outlet, etc
1) The downside of the cabinet is just like the lab side bench, on the top is the table-board,
below is the cabinet. The table- board can install small cups and tap.
2) The material of the fume hood is various, all steel, steel wood, all wood, aluminum,
wood, plastic, PVC structure, etc, and the table board is part of the operator touched,
it is made up by the solid core physical and chemical plate, stainless steel plate, PVC,
ceramic material and so on.
3) The common cabinet width is 1000, 1200,1500,1800 and 2000mm, width is 700-
900mm, height is 1900-2400. It can be used for 1-3 people at the same time. The fume
hood normally is installed along the wall.
4) The height of the door opening is 100-600mm, because of the fan through the open door
inward extraction, under normal circumstances the harmful gas will not spill.
The function of the fume hood:
1) The most important function is extract air, in the laboratory will produce many harmful gas, bad smell, dampness, and the inflammable, explosive, corrosive substances. In order to protect the security of the user, prevent the diffusion of pollutants to the laboratory, in the vicinity of pollution sources to use fume hood. Before we have few fume hoods, so can only use to the experiment which particularly harmful and dangerous gases and produce large amounts of heat.

4)Auto-completion:the fume hood should have the ability of suction air from the outside of the fume hood when it extract the harmful air.
5) The function of heat resistance and resistance to acid and alkali corrosion: In the experiments, there will be many poisonous and harmful gas such as acid and alkali with strong corrosive. So the table-board, plate, side panel and the part of the fume hood should antiseptic. And in the semiconductor industry or corrosive experiments such as sulfuric acid, nitric acid, hydrofluoric acid, the fume hoods are also required to overall material must be well protected against acid and alkali, shall adopt stainless steel or PVC materials
