The Digital Gem Refractometer is a nice optical instrument which will give a reading of the refractive index of a clean, flat, well-polished facet to reproducibility of 0.007RI index units. With covering the full range from 1.30 to 2.99RI, It is an ideal instrument to identify the gem stones. The importance is that it can test the gem stones without requiring ANY messy, damaging contact oil. |

Calibration adjustment
If the instrument has been subjected to rought handing inshipment,or if your environments is very different in temperature,Calibration adjustment may require.
1.Press TEST BUTTON until the “07”appears.
2.If “1.48 0000” is display,place scale sample(1.487)on test platform,then press test button
3.Press TEST BUTTON until the “04”appears,switch to other scale sample.
4.If “1.75 0000”is display, place scale sample(1.755)on test platform, then press test button.
5.Press TEST BUTTON until the”04”appears,return normal test status

1.Clean sample
2.Clean test platform
3.Place sample
4.Adjust center position
5.Press Test Button and Read index value
6.Adjust sample positions and get correct index
