The Optical Barrier, in addition to being a standard optical turnstile, incorporates fully functional bi- directional barrier arms to deter all unwanted users, thus giving increased security control. The product has a 1200mm long footprint, for ease of monitoring by lobby staff.

- Materials: Pedestal: #4 Grained Stainless Steel and tempered glass center section with fully integrated steel frame. Pedestal Lid: #4 Grained Stainless Steel Barriers: 10mm thick tempered glass secured by an integrated steel shaft.
- Construction: Pedestals are constructed of a steel frame. Small radius casework construction and finishes applied such that no exposed seams appear at leading edges. Integrated panels easily removed for Preventative Maintenance.
- Function: Tempered glass barriers are electronically controlled in both directions, via direct drive intelligent positioning (DDIP) induction sensor control motor.
- Sensor Detection: Provided through industrial duty infrared photoelectric beams.
- Operation: A card is presented to the customer supplied access control reader mounted inside the casework. If authorized, the top green arrow light graphic will point in the direction authorized and a chime will sound to tell the user they may pass.
- Fire Alarm Input facility is available for voltage free contact supplied by others to effect fail state
- Power Supply: 220V AC 60Hz. The circuit is fed via a remote mounted step down transformer supplied with the unit.
- Power Rating: Stand by Less than 0.5 AMP In operation Upto 6.0 AMP
- Logic Voltage: 24V DC
- Standard Operating Modes: • Enter / Card In • Exit / Card Out • Free Exit / Card Out • Optical or Barrier function • Pop out Mode • Closed • Reset
- Status Lights: Uniquely designed Card Reader Pictograms are fitted into the OptiStile top, one for each direction, to visually assist the user when passing through the unit.
- Audible Notification: Each lane of the Optical Barrier has four discrete sounds to indicate the following: • One tone - Reminder to swipe card. • Chime - Access authorization. • Two tone - Lane alert. • Loud buzzer - Forced barrier.
- Pictograms: 50mm Dia. LED display pictograms flush mounted within the Optical Barrier lid top face (included as standard). The Green badge symbol is continuously illuminated indicating passage is available. Upon authorisation a Green arrow will illuminate in the direction of passage authorisation whilst in the opposite direction a Red cross symbol will illuminate to indicate the unit is not available for use or is already in use.
