DC20FN Dual Probe Coating Thickness Gauge is an economic yet easy-to-use coating testing gauge with pocket size design and intelligent functions. Equips with built-in precise dual probe(magnetic and non-magnetic),it can measure not only non-magnetic coating(paint,plastic film,chromium layer,copper layer, zinc coating, enamel etc.) on magnetic substrates (steel, iron base alloys, cobalt, nickel etc.), but also non-conductive coating(oil paint, painting, powder spraying, plastic film, rubber layer,tec.)on non-magnetic substrates (copper,stainless steel, aluminum, gold, silver), and rapidly display the testing result on dot-matrix LCD screen. Moreover, the testing result can be saved in groups with real time statistic. Users can freely set the alarm upper and lower limits.
Common non-magnetic coatings:
Painting coating(oil paint, painting, powder spraying), plastic film,rubber layer,erosion resistant coating,synthetic material layer,chromium layer,copper layer, lead layer, aluminum layer, tin layer, cadmium layer, zinc coating, enamel etc..
Common magnetic metal substrates:
Steel, iron base alloys, cobalt, nickel etc..
Common non-conductive coatings:
Painting coating(oil paint, painting, powder spraying), plastic film,rubber layer,erosion resistant coating,synthetic material layer,chromium layer,copper layer, lead layer, aluminum layer, tin layer, cadmium layer, zinc coating, enamel etc..
Common non-magnetic metal substrates:
Copper,Stainless Steel Aluminum,Gold,Silver and almost all the metals except iron, cobalt and nickel.
Measuring principle:
- Magnetic Method (Fe): Measuring the thickness of non- magnetic coatings on steel, iron and other ferromagnetic metal substrates, e.g. painting, varieties of anti-corrosion coating, powder spraying, plastic, rubber, synthetic material, phosphate coating, chromium, zinc, Aluminum, tin and cadmium, etc.
- Eddy Current Method (NFe): measuring the thickness of non-conductive coatings on copper, aluminum, stainless steel and other non-ferromagnetic substrates, e.g. painting, varieties of anti-corrosion coating, powder spraying, plastic, rubber, synthetic material, oxide film and phosphate film, etc.
- Built-in dual probe: magnetic non-magnetic probe;
- Three probe mode:AUTO, Magnetic, Eddy Current;
- Two measuring modes: Single and Continuous;
- Two data group modes: direct mode (DIR) and general mode (GEN)(one DIR mode, four GEN modes, each mode can save 80 pcs of data, in DIR mode, data will be automatically cleared when power off, while in GEN mode, data will be auto saved);
- Zero calibration and multi-point calibration (max.4 points), separated in each group;
- Freely set alarm upper and lower limits in each group;
- Real time statistic displaying: AVERAGE,MIN,MAX,SDEV;
- Large dot-matrix LCD display, humanized MENU operation mode;
- USB interface for data transmission to PC;
- AUTO off after 3 minutes of inactivity to save power;
