Electrolytic capacitor is usually made of metal foil (aluminum / TA) as a positive electrode, metal foil insulating oxide layer (alumina / tantalum pentoxide) as the dielectric, it's divided into aluminum electrolytic capacitors and tantalum electrolytic capacitor and ectrolytic capacitor by the difference of the positive eletrode. Aluminum electrolytic capacitor negative electrode is made of electrolyte (liquid electrolyte) tissue paper / film or polymer electrolyte with soaking liquid ; aluminum electrolytic capacitor negative electrode usually with manganese dioxide. Since the electrolyte is the negative electrode (different with dielectric distinction), the electrolytic capacitor is named. Electrolytic capacitor is widely used in home appliances and all kinds of electronic products, its capacity range is larger, generally from 1 to 1000 F, rated working voltage range of 6.3~450V. The disadvantage is that the medium loss, capacity error (maximum allowable deviation of -20%, +100%), high temperature resistance, storage time is easy to failure.
Electrolytic capacitor polarity, in the side of the electrolytic capacitor put "-", is negative, if electrolytic capacitor does not indicate the positive and negative poles, can also according to the length of its pin to judge, as cathode feet long and short legs is negative.
