I. Introduction:
This middle thick sheet slitting line, also called metal coil slitter, is a kind of production line to break down master coils into smaller coils of a particular width. The slitting line is made up of coil-loading car, single mandrel uncoiling, coil-end-feeding and shoveling, double roller pinching feeding, three-roller-leveling, end-cutting, strip-aligning, disk shearing, scrap reeling, hole accumulator, pre-separator, tensioning, recoiling ,coil down car, hydraulic control, and electric control.
Because of the thickness of slitting sheet, the coil slitting line can be divided into thin coil slitting line, middle thick sheet slitting line and thick coil slitting line. Among them, the middle thick sheet slitting line: strip thickness: (2-8) mm, (3-6) mm or (3-10) mm; strip width: 600-1600 mm, 600-1800mm or 600-2000mm.
II. Advantages:
1. The middle thick sheet slitting line is controlled by electrical controls system, a key to increasing yield; while the traditional one is adjusted by operators.
2. Offline setup, push-button slitter tooling lock-up, powered indexing tension rolls, quick-change tooling bars and automatic transmissions are on all DC motors.
3. Some design elements on this coil slitting line improve the high yield output, including slit edge quality, straight-wall slit coils as well as the ability to hold tight slit strip tolerances.
