3. PSL-2 Line Pipe Applied In Marine
According the research of chemical composition, process of steel-making, continuous casting and hot rolling, the results are as follow:
(1) Using less C, P, S, Mn and adding appropriate content of Cr, Mo, Ti, etc., it can reduce the component segregation and MnS, ensures tubes’ good conditions in toughness, SSCC, HIC and easy to be welded.
(2) With the same chemical composition and quenching process, the higher the temper point is, the lower the tensile strength, yield strength and Vickers hardness of tubes are. Meanwhile, the higher the elongation and impact toughness are useful for tubes’ using in marine environment.
(3) After reducing carbon content and raising quenching temperature, the Charpy impact properties could be further improved and the transition temperature could be lower in the case of ensuring hardenability.
