 1.Introduction of centrifugal concentrator      

Centrifuge is kind centrifugal concentration equipment. It can be used not only for placer gold mining, but also for hard rock mining to recover the natural gold, replacing amalgamation. It is also used to recover gold from the old tailings.

The STL Centrifuge will separate any heavy material from any light material so long as there is sufficient difference in the densities of the individual particles in question. The Concentrator can treat particle sizes from below 10 microns up to a maximum of 6mm and is most commonly used for recovery in Gold and Platinum. Other recovery uses include Mercury, Palladium, Tantalum, Copper, Silver and Diamond Indicator Minerals.

Water Jacket gold concentrator consists of pipelines, mainframe, tailing chute, drive motor, vertical shaft and separation device.

The separation device is cone unit includes two layers; the inner layer is made by stainless steel plate, with circle gratings and small holes on the wall, the outer layer is made by mild steel plate. The two layers form a close water jacket system.

The main shaft is a hollow shaft, the pressurize backwash water come from the shaft, then goes into the separation unit, the water spray from holes to the gratings. During the process, the pressure of the water shall be 0.06-0.15MPa.

The slurry which is mixed with water and grinded ore and sand will be injected to the mainframe. With the heavy centrifugal force, the slurry will be move upward along the cone body, the light particles will be extracted from the upper part of cone, then discharge through the tailing outlet. The heavy particles will be stay in the gratings of the inner layer.

6. Application of centrifugal concentrator

According to the experiments and application for years, the water jacket gold concentrator shows a high operation performance and low maintenance. The gold concentrator can completely replace the tradition amalgamation process in the gold separation plant. It is a environment-friendly technology.

Four models are available. Application shows that the recovery can be as high as 99%, especially for the case in recovering the natural gold in lode ore with 65% of the ore having a milling size of 0. 074mm, the recovery for the natural gold is expected up to 98%, For that natural gold of 0.004mm in particle size, the recovery is 97%. The cleaning up cycle is 1~4 hours, and the upgrade ratio is up to 1,000 times. The equipment is patented in China.

High recovery rate: through our test, the recovery rate for placer gold mine can be over 90%,and for the rock gold mine, when the feeding size is under 0.04mm, the recovery rate can reach 95%.

High efficiency: STLB30 model with a capacity of 2-3 tons/hour. Only one small machine could reach such a high capacity and high recovery rate, it's the most efficient concentration machine in our factory .
