LEAKAGE CURRENT TESTER FOR LIGHTING EQUIPMENT LUMINAIRES
The leakage current test meet the standards IEC60598-1 (Safety of lighting equipment)
GOAL: check, under the normal working conditions (equipment powered), the leakage current from the power supply according to the accessibleparts, is below than the maximum authorised value.
PRINCIPLE: Power the equipment under test at the nominal voltage through an insulation transformer and measure the leakage current inbetween each line (phase or neutral) and the protective earth. This test is the only one that requires the DUT to be powered.
IEC60598-1: Voltage (power supply ) : U nominal
Current threshold: 0.5~1mA 5mA (max.)
Class I fixed lighting leakage current is 1.0mA, if the rated output power is more than 1000VA and class I fixed lighting output power plus 1000VA, leakage current will increases 1.0mA, maximum of 5.0mA
