The function of the flying shear 

 

1,As the head and rear part of the rolling parts have some defect or the temperature of steel is too low, the flying shear need to cut the head and rear to insure the quality of the rolling parts before it gets into the finishing mill.

 

2, The flying shear will cut the rolling parts immediately if any failure occurs to the finishing mill, then the switch will turn the parts to snap shear to snap.

Equipment composition and structural characteristics.

 

Flying shear is composed by transmission equipment, cutting support base and upper & lower spindle. Rotary tool rest has installed backsword, two spindles which are parallel with start-stop work system. Tool rest makes one revolution to finish one cutting period. Motor drive the spindle through reduction gears and make the upper, lower spindle rotated through the gear.

 

The lower spindle is connected with transmission equipments. Motor adapt separately ventilated machine and equipped speed measuring motor to measure the speed of the direct motor. Safety gear coupling is installed between the motor and reduction gears to insure the safety to use the equipment.

 

Cutting support base is a welded case with four-layers, it has four gear rolls inside, including upper, lower spindle and the others are transition gear rolls

 

Upper spindle has optical-electricityencoder to control the start-stop position of the shear blade in the processing of the cutting. 

Lubrication 

Recycled lubrication is adopted for internal gear and bearing of the shearing machine with dilute oil supplied by outside dilute oil station. Sump lubrication is applied for redactor.

 

The function of the gripping shear

The gripping shear is located in the entrance of the pre-finishing mill and finishing mill, it is used to protect the pre-finishing mill and finishing mill by cutting off the rolled piece and stop further feeding into the mill once there is an operation failure.

Equipment composition and structural characteristics

The gripping shear is composed of support base, main machine of cutting and cylinder, cutting machine is two spindle stuck shear that controlled by pneumatic, one is on top of rolling parts and the other is under the rolling parts, when accident occurs, cylinder moved through the closed sword by promote upper and lower connecting rod, these two swords connected with the moving rolling part and cut down it.

The support base of gripping shear is weld structure.

Lubrication and air compression:

The frame axis of gripping shear adapt oil bearing, the others used manual glycerol lubrication to offer the oil regularly.

The compressed air used in cylinder of the gripping shear is supplied by workshop, the pressure is 0.4~0.6Mpa.

The function of the snap shear

The snap shear is fixed behind the track switch, and is used to chop the rolled piece cut off by the flying shear before falling into the off cut collector when some failure occurred to the rolling mill. Main technical features:

Equipment composition and structural characteristics.

Snap shear is composed by motor, shear machine housing, base, pinch roll and tool rest, shear machine housing is composed by lower base, middle box and upper box. It has a pair of mesh gears inside. The transmission roll is the lower cutter shaft, one cutter shaft is driven by the move of the mesh gears, the pinch roll is driven by the pulley fixed to the ends of the cutter shafts.

Shear machine rack is composed by lower base, middle box and upper box. One pair of mesh gear with transmission ratio at 1:1 is fixed inside the rack.

Motor and cutting support base are fixed on a base rack welded with steel plate.

Snap shear has a pair of tool rests (upper and lower tool rests) installed on the spindle; they are fixed on the transmission spindle by the wedge plate.

There are three cutting blades on the upper and lower spindle respectively. The angle of them is 120, when the spindle spinned 120, a pair of blades meshed, when the spindle finishes one circle, flying shear complete three cuttings.

Lubrication and air compression

1, lubrication

The gear and bearing inside the snap shear adopt thin oil circulate. The other parts adapt manual operation and glycerol lubrication.

2. Air compression

The startup and turnoff of the front pinch roll in the snap shear are carried out by the same cylinder, the compressed air is supplied by workshop, the pressure of the compressed air is 0.4~0.6Mpa.
