Product Description
Copper Phosphorus Brazing Alloys are mainly used for the copper and copper alloy filler rods. These Manganese Bronze (high tensile brass) rods are intended for use in the bronze welding (brass welding) of copper, cast iron, and malleable iron and for the fusion welding of materials of the same or closely similar composition. These high nickel bronze (high tensile nickel brass) rods are intended for use in bronze welding (brass welding), cast iron or malleable iron.
Product Feature
Copper phosphorous alloys are used extensively for joining copper to copper, especially refrigeration and air conditioning tubing and copper electrical conductors. They may also used on brass & bronze. These alloys are self fluxing when brazing copper to copper joints, but flux is recommended on large work and is necessary on brass and bronze. Copper phosphorous alloys should not be used on ferrous or nickel alloys. Copper phosphorous alloys are available in a wide variety of compositions to offer a full range of low and gap illing characteristics, from the free flow of BCuP-2 to the excellent gap filling qualities of BCuP-5. These alloys are available in coiled or spooled wire;round, flat and square rods, ring and many specialty perform shapes. BCuP-5 copper phosphorous alloy is available in strip form and is widely recognized as the industry standard for this type of material. Copper phosphorous alloy allows the joinning of copper to copper without a flux and copper-based alloys(brass and bronze with a flux). Our copper phosphorous alloy is the workhorse filler metal used in the refrigeration and air conditioning industries. Flux selection: these alloys are self-fluxing on copper but our HZ-QJ301 or HZ-QJ302 copper brazing flux is needed for brass.
