Medium and Mains Frequency Water Cooled Capacitors
Application:
Electric heating capacitor is mainly used in controlled or adjustable A. C. voltage system with nominal voltage not more than 4kV and frequency 200 kHz and under, specifically used to improve the power factor or circuit characteristic of equipments for induction heating, melting, mixing, casting, and similar applications.
The capacitor is designed and manufactured in according with the latest revision to IEC 60110-1.
They are constructed from the Polypropylene and/or Paper with Foil. The impregnate is non-PCB ( non-polluting and non-toxic) Dielectric oil. External case is generally aluminium.
After wingding the exrended foil capacitor elements, one edge or both edges are soldered to tinned copper tube, through which water is passed to dissipate the heat generated in the capacitor.
The non magnetic container is used to assure minimum heat generation when operating at high frequencies, the insulation ceramics terminal bushings which comprise one pole are hermetically fixed to the capacitor container and equipped with a heavy copper stud having a suitable current carrying capacity for the rating. The other pole of all sections is common to the cooling coil.
Specially developed techniques are employed to ensure high electrical connectivity, thermal conductivity and mechanical strength between the foil and copper tube.
Main technical characteristics
1. The Electric heating capacitor is accordance with GB/T3984.1< Electric heat capacitors for induction heating installations> Part 1: General (equivalent to IEC60110.1).
2. Pole to pole 2.0UN (or 4.0 UN) 10s. Pole to housing 2.15UN (least 2000V) 10s
3. Capacitance allowance: -0.5%-+10%
4. Capacitance tangent of the loss angle: tgδ≤0.00008. (Power frequency rated voltage)
5.Overload: It can operate for 12 hours every 24h under the voltage of 1.05UN and specified frequency, continuous operating current should not exceed 1.15IN.
Service condition
1. Altitude less than 1000m.
2. Ambient temperature: -40°C~+45°C
3. The residual voltage is not more than 10% of rated voltage when power on again.
4. Inlet pressure of cooling water is not exceeding 0.3MPa, input temperature is not exceeding 30°C, and rate-of-flow is no more than 6L per min. Cooling water should be soft water without impurities, PH value should be 6 ~ 9.
