Ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) is a new kind of engineering thermoplastics with more than 3 million viscosity-average molecular weight. Ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene pipe has superior performance over conventional HDPE pipe such as very high wear resistance, impact resistance, excellent resistance to internal pressure strength, resistance to environmental stress cracking, intrinsically self-lubricating, anti-adhesion, low temperature resistance and excellent chemical resistance

Q: What's the difference between HDPE pipe and UHMWPE pipe?
A: the molecular wieght for HDPE pipe is only 30,000-50,000, however, the UHMWPE pipes is 3.5 million to 9.2 million. The higher molecular weight enables UHMWPE pipes to have a much better quality than HDPE pipes.
Q: What's the advantages of UHMWPE pipes compared with HDPE pipes?
A: a) Wear Resistance: the wear resistance of UHMWPE material is the top among engineering plastics, It is 10 times better than HDPE material;
b) Higher pressure bearing capability: with 2 times better of tensile strength than HDPE pipes, the UHMWPE pipes could bear higher working pressure. In this case, with the same internal diameter, the UHMWPE pipes could have thinner wall thickness to bear same working pressure.
