1.Polycarbonate is excellent engineering plastic used worldwide. Polycarbonate is a type of non-crystal thermo plastic
resin with various good mechanical propertied including electrical insulation, flexibility, dimensional stability, chemical
resistance, high strength, heat resistance and cold resistance.
2.Anti-droplet polycarbonate sheets have one side of 50micron UV co-extrusion layer which can prevent ultraviolet rays,
resulting in good weather resistance, effectively avoiding the aging, the other side of the sheet has an anti-droplet
coating, which can avoid water dropping through distributing water film by changing surface tension. This ability plays a
key rolein greenhouse planting, since droppingwater may damage the plants.The condensation of the droplets will
reduce the light transmission of the sheets, and the droplets will beharmful for theplants, reduce the production, and
increase the likely of plant diseases and insect pests, damage the Ecological Environment of the greenhouse.

1. Light transmittance: the light transmittance of the PC sheet is up to 88%, compare favorably with the glass. Sheet
withUV coating does not turn yellowing, atomization, poor light transmission in the exposure sunlight, the loss of
transmittance is only 6% after 10 years, but the PVC wastage rate is as high as 15% to 20%, and the glass fiber is
12%-20%.
2. Anti impact: PC sheet is the best impact resistance of thermoplastics, the impact resistance of polycarbonate is
10-27 times than glass and Plexiglass.
3. UV protection: it is coated with anti-ultraviolet(UV) coating on one side and with anti-condensation processing on
the other side, with the function of anti-UV, heat insulation and anti-drop. It can prevent the ultraviolet rays pass through,
and suitable to protect the precious works of art and exhibits from UV damage.
4. Light weight: the proportion is only 1/12 of the ordinary glass, and not easily crushed, save transport, unloading,
installation, and the cost of the support frame.
5. The flame: the national standard GB50222-95 confirmed the PC board is the number one level of fire-resistance,
is B1 level. The ignition point of PC sheet is 580 degrees Celsius, the combustion does not produce toxic gases from
the fire self-extinguishing, will not contribute to the spread of fire.
6. Bendable: it can use cold-formed way at the site according to design, install into arched, semi-circular roof and
windows. Minimum bend radius is 175 times the plate thickness, it also can be hot bended.
7. Energy-saving: it keep cool in summer, and keep warm in winter. The thermal conductivity (K value) of PC sheets
is more lower than ordinary glass and other plastic, the insulation effect of PC sheet is 7%-25% higher than the
same glass. The hest insulation is up to 49%. So that heat loss is greatly reduced, it is used to warm the equipment
building, an environmentally friendly material.
8. Temperature adaptability: sun panels will not crisp at the temperature of -100 C, and won’t softening at 135 °C,
mechanical performance was no significant change in the harsh environment.
9. Weather resistance: the sun panel can maintain the physical stability of the indicators in the range of -40°C~+120°C. Artificial weathering test of 4000 hours, yellowing is 2, light transmittance value is only 0.6% lower.
10. Anti-condensation: outdoor temperature is 0°C, indoor temperature of 23°C, indoor relative humidity less than 80%
of the inner surface of the material, non-condensing.

Polycarbonate sheets are a transparent, synthetic product. Because of its exceptional impact, weather and temperature resistance, it provides solutions where other synthetics fail. Polycarbonate has a different chemical composition, and therefore different properties, from other transparent plastics such as PVC.

13.What is the impact strength of polycarbonate ?
Polycarbonate is almost unbreakable. It is many times more impact resistant than any other transparent material used for glazing or roofing purposes. Many types of tests are used to measure impact strength, so it is difficult to compare data. Solid polycarbonate sheets comply with most tests issued on the impact strength of glazing materials. To give an idea: a 3mm solid polycarbonate sheet withstands the force of a steel ball of about 4 kg dropped from a height of 9.5 m,3 times in a row. It does not break or shatter! When you take a look at some of the more industrial applications, you will see that polycarbonate is used for machine glazing, police riot shields, ice-hockey rinks...all applications that require extreme impact resistance.
