STORY & HISTORY
A lava lamp (or Astro lamp) is a decorative novelty item that contains blobs of coloured wax inside a glass vessel filled with clear liquid; the wax rises and falls as its density changes due to heating from an incandescent light bulb underneath the vessel. The lamps were designed in a variety of styles and colours.
Briton Edward Craven-Walker invented the lava lamp in 1963. Since its invention, the lamp was a success throughout the 1960s and early 1970s. From 2000, it came back to the Market with a more stronger power and attractions, and welcomed in USA, Europe, Russia, Austrailia and other countries and areas.
Lava lamp and Glitter lamp are one of the most popular human inventions for fun.
