7. Communication Terminal, Test Software and Communication Agreement
External terminal has 4 cores.
1. DC +24V; 2. RS485 A+; 3. RS485 B-; 4.DC -;
The test software and communication agreement can be asked by E-mail.
8. Connection Modes
General inside the monitor, RS485 computer communication board is isolated from the sensor with photo-electricity convertor signal transmission. The withstand voltage is 1500 V.
After connecting all the RS485A+ together and all the B- together for all monitors in substation, connect to the computer. Connecting all the DC +24V terminals together and all the DC – terminals together, connect to DC 24V power. The voltage drop will be bigger if the power line is too long. So it is necessary to put the power supply close to the monitors. The connection way is shown as Fig. 3.

In order to intensify the safety of the system, the optical fiber modem can be used for the transmission of RS485 signal. So that the transmission distance and anti-jamming ability should be enhanced. It can also prevent the influence to the system owing to the ground voltage enhancing. The connection mode is shown in Fig. 4.
