This is a very economical pump for shallow wells (20' deep or less), rain barrels or cisterns.
It attaches to common 1 1/4" I.D. pipe fittings (available from any plumbing supply store)
and has a replaceable leather flapper valve and leather plunger. Although replacement leather
gaskets are offered, you should get a decade or more of service before needing replacements.
