DPF-2 Metallographic Electropolishing Machine
Description:
l The instrument makes metallographic samples by means of the electrochemical principles.
l The metallographic samples made by the electrolytic polishing and etching have no deformed strata brought out by the mechanic polishing, and so their compositions is genuine without any false element.
l And it is therefore, the best way to make the non-ferrous and high-thermal alloy samples such as titanium, aluminium and copper.
l With a rather high working voltage and large electric current, the instrument leaves large room for making larger metallographic samples, especially the melded samples.
l The instrument is characterized by its continuous, stable and adjustable output of electric current and voltage for the electrolytic polishing and etching, and by its showing in actual time the working voltage, electric current, polishing (etching) time and the temperature of the electrolyte, as well as by its easily repetition of the polishing and etching processes.
l All this is useful to determine the metallographic composition and thermal processing. And more over, the polished (corroded) superficial space is adjustable, that is, it may be adjusted according to the actual conditions of the specimen, and hence the instrument is suitable to make samples of all kinds of materials, sizes, and shapes.
l The instrument adopts special methods for the recycling and cooling of the electrolyte with a high efficiency of polishing, better than other stirring and mixing methods
l The instrument has an outer cover made of inoxidizable and acid resisting steel with its surface spray-painted-the double anti-corrosive structure, whereas the electrolyte container is made of acid proof material so as to assure the long and reliable use of the instrument. Finally, the instrument has the electric leakage-proof function.
