Floating seals which is one of mechanical seals, consists of two steel rings and rubber washers. The seal operates by preloading the two rubber washers and floating the two polished steel faces between them within the seal chamber. Floating seals is applicable to various engineering machinery and mining machinery such as bulldozers, grabs, coal cutters, loaders, land levelers, cranes, mixers etc.

- Surface hardness: HRC 60-72
- Surface finish: less than or equal to RA0.1 Micro-Metre
- Surface smoothness: less than or equal to 0.002
