Prosafe RS system named as safety instrumented system (SIS) is Yokogawa’s latest technology, plays a crucial role in ensuring plant safety and draws from our supremely reliable distributed control system (DCS) technology and strong track record in the DCS and SIS.
Controller is the core part of SIS system, with the blow specifiation:
- Processor: MIPS R5000 Processor
- Main Memory Capacity: 32 Mbyte
- Memory Protection During Power Failure: Application program is stored in non-volatile memories. Processor Module Management Information is stored in the storage memories backed up by a nonrechargeable battery. The battery’s recommended replacement cycle is three years when it is used under the average ambient temperature of 30 °C or less.
- Communication Interface: Vnet/IP Interface: Dual-redundant, ESB bus interface: Dual-redundant.
- No. of Node Units Connectable: 9 for each safety control unit, ESB bus can be extended by Optical ESB bus repeater module.
- No. of I/O Modules Mounted: 8 for each safety control unit, 78 for each SCS.
- Power Supply: 100-120 V AC, 220-240 V AC, 24 V DC.
- Mounting: 19-inch Rack Mounting.
Packaging: Carton package for each set and small quanity; additional wooden package for melium and large quanity, depends on total weight.
