The inner pipe runs through the ball and is welded on either side of the dredge ball joint, therefore protecting the inner surface from corrosion and wear. The heavy lugs on the case securely lock the retaining ring. The wear-resistant case liner protects the inner surface of the case from wear, even when the joint is tilted at its maximum angle. The bayonet ring is a sturdy, stiff ring with a minimum of deflection under pressure. The one-piece moulded gasket ensures a leak-free joint assembly. The locking pin secures the bayonet ring against unwanted rotation.
