Custom designed drag head, in accordance with custom requirements,specially for the heavy duty dredging projects.
The draghead of a trailing suction hopper dredger represents the first mechanical contact with bottom material, so its design, quality and sturdiness are critical in dredging and alluvial mining tasks. We have invested many years of practical experience and testing to create optimal draghead solutions for extracting the maximum of bottom soil at minimum time and cost, and continue to do so.
The Heavy duty Dragheads offer a combination of high excavation capabilities for loosening the soil and optimised hydraulic properties for mixture transportation. High mixture concentrations are possible in many kinds of soil. The Dragheads are welded constructions made of structural steel. Cutting teeth of abrasion resistant cast steel and jet water nozzles are arranged over the whole width of the visor.
