SMC/BMC compression moulding is a process that put a certain amount of moulding compound into the metal
matched-die m, under the effect of certain temperature and pressure , the moulding compound will be heated
to plasticize in the mould , then flow and fill the mould cavity , and curing to the products . Typical products
include the cable bearers , electrical equipment housings , building templates, air-conditiionshells,car body
components ,switch boxes , sanitary fiting ., ect
SMC is the abbreviation of sheet Molding Compound . SMC is a intermediate material for
compression moulding that manufacturing glass fiber reinforced thermosetting products by half dry
method , which is premixed into a paste with unsaturated polyester resin, low shrinkage/low profile
addititives ,intiator, inner release agent, mineral filler,. etc.and then add the thickening agent,coloring
agent to mix evenly, have the short cut fiber glass in full dipping and thickening process, and finally
form the "sandwich"structure.
