v Features
JN PUD-6902 is a water-based aqueous polyurethane dispersion, and it is a anionic, thermal activated adhesive. This product is used in the production of water-based environmental friendly shoe adhesives. It has some obvious advantages: environmental friendly, non-toxic to the workers; non-flammable and non-explosive.; It is easy to operate and washes easily. The cost is significantly reduced via the use this product instead of solvent-based shoe adhesive.JN PUD-6902 is non-yellowing, water resistant and heat proof.

v Application
The technological conditions used by Waterborne Polyurethane Adhesive and its bonding strength are similar to that of solvent adhesive.
1 Surface treatment: first of all, correctly identify the properties of the material. Before sizing, make appropriate treatment on the surface of the object, such as degreasing, derusting, removing water, polishing and so on. Degreasing can rid the object surface of grease, dust and other contaminating substances. Wash the object surface with quick drying solvent such as No.120 gasoline, thinner, toluene, or ethyl acetate to decontaminate and dry it in the air. Polish the object softly with No.0 or No.1 sand paper. According to the like-dissolves-like rule, for different material, choose different treatment agents. The purpose of surface treatment is to increase adhesive power of PU adhesive to the material.
2. Sizing in accordance with the material: usually one coating is enough, but for porous material a second coating is recommended.
3.Work flow: correctly identify the materialto be adhered → treat the surface → use relevant treatment agent, → dry(70°C X3~5’) → size → dry(70°C X4~5’)→ laminate→ pressurize → cool off →Finishing → package.
4.Laminating method:laminate during the time when the adhesive is effective, that is, within 3 minutes after the material comes out of the dryer and in winter, within 2 minutes. Besides, try your best to succeed in the first time, because a second lamination will affect adhesive effects.
5 Pressurizing method: adjust the pressing machine to make the surface evenly pressurized. The pressing time is 8~12 seconds. If the shape of the material stays the same, the larger the pressure, the better the pressurizing effects.
6 Impact of bad coating: too thick adhesive layer will increase cost, result in partial incomplete dry as well as accumulated adhesive which will affect bonding strength; a lack of uniformity of adhesive layer will result in parts with accumulated adhesive, parts running loose,parts with blisters and so on.
v Caution
1. Before treatment, correctly identify the properties of the material. Different materials require different treatment agents
2.Treat the surface to be completely even. Auxiliary materials such as gauze and cotton require a regular renewal to ensure good treatment.
3.Sizing should wait until treatment agent dries. Even sizing is required to avoid accumulated adhesive and uneven or undersized adhesive layer or lack of adhesive.
4.This product is cheap, resource-saving and easy to operate in that it can be used without any additional curing agent.
5.After sizing, set the temperature of drying at around 60~70°C and the drying time at 4~5min, and keep the sizing surface clear of windy or wet places to avoid surface crust or misty surface that will result in an unsatisfactory bond.
6.Laminate at the time when the adhesive power is the best. Succeed at the first time to avoid pulling the bond apart to make a second lamination.
7.After the joint, finish pressurizing procedure within the time when adhesive power is still effective. If you miss the best time to pressurize, you may find disadvantages such as an unsatisfactory bond.
8.Set the time and pressure when pressurizing in a proper manner. The larger the pressure, the better the bond, but that only occurs when the shoe material is not out of shape. Also the time should be controlled at 8~12 seconds.
9.Clean the brushes after use by water.
10.When cleaning contaminators on the surface of the shoes with finishing agent, you should prevent solvents from leaking into sizing layer because that will destroy crystalization and result in an unsatisfactory bond.
