the bars will be oiled for rust protection, - one dia should be packed in one bundle by the steel strip; bundles should be oiled and turned into the PE film then packed in wooden boxes for easy loading.
Tungsten molybdenum high speed steel M2
HSS M2 has a series of advantages, like small carbide and well distributed, higher wear-resistance, and lower cost. the hardness main 57HRC-58 HRC, and 52-53 HRC separately under 500°C-600°C. Bending strength can be 4700MPa, the toughness and thermoplasticity can be improved 50% compare with W18Cr4V, can be used as making different of tools. like drills, screw tap, miller cutter, reamer, knife ect, can be meet normal material request.
Our Services
Provide samples, but need to pay the samples fees, 100RMB/Kg.
M2 is widely used in applications requiring a high degree of toughness; grindability, good wear resistance and high hardness.
Applications include:
-Lathe Tools; Planer Tool;
-Drills; Taps; Reamers; Broaches;
-Milling Cutters; Thread Cutters; End Mills;
-Blanking Dies; Gear Cutter; Router Bits.
Heat Treatment
Forging:
-Preheat slowly to 1600 F until piece is thoroughly heated through, then increase heat to 1950 F -2050 F.
-DO NOT hot work M2 below 1700 F.
- After forging, allow M2 to cool slowly, packed in lime or other insulating material.( For large forgings, let soak in large furnace at 1450 F, then cool in furnace.)
-Anneal as soon as possible.
Anealing:
-Surface protection-Anneal in controlld atmosphere furnace or pack in an inert material.
-Slowly heat M2 to 1550-1600, cool slowly at a rate of 20 F/ hr until furnace is black. Shut down furnace, allow to cool normally, annealed hardness range is 200-240 Brinell.
Stress-relieving:
Temperature 1100-1290 F. Rough machine after stress relieving. Hold tool for 2 hours after reaching full temperature. Cool in furnace to 930 F and then air-cool.
Hardening:
Single-edge cutting tools: 2175-2225 F ( salt bath)
2200 F -2250 F( furnace)
Roating multi-edge cutting tools: 2150 F -2250 F
Punches, dies, etc: 1920-2100 F.
Tempering:
-Temper immediately when piece reaches 150 F or when comfortably hand-held.
-Tempering temperature should be in the range of 1250 F-1100 F.
-Heat slowly to temperature, hold tools at heat for 2 hours before air cooling.
-For best toughness, after tool has cooled, retemper for 2 additional hours at slightly lower temperature.
Packing details:
1. wrapping clothes is suitable for shipping
2. in wooden case
3. the good's quantity in each case is no more than 4 tons
Qualified inspection,adopting advanced technology and equipment to test products internal cracks and pores to ensure that the internal structures are good.
Do the test to confirm the material chemical composition.To make the material conform to the requirements of the relative models in corresponding fields.
