Manual Coffee Bean Grinder
Manual grinder is great for the coffee lover who wants control over their grind. The ceramic burr is adjustable from fine to coarse making it idea for all coffee variations, espresso to drip coffee. Go green! No electricity required. This grinder is a welcome addition to the RV, boat and camp kitchen. Adjusting the grind of your coffee is easy. Prior to first use, tighten the two screws located in the bowl 1/4 to 1/2 turn. All grinders are shipped loose to prevent damage in shipping. To adjust the burr: 1. Remove the handle nut, handle and cog wheel stop. This will give you access to the adjustment cog wheel. 2. Adjust the grind by rotating the adjustment cog wheel clockwise (raising the burr) for fine and counter clockwise(lowering the burr) for coarse. When storing coffee in the grinder, fully raise the burr to seal the grind mechanism by rotating the cog nut clockwise until it is fully closed. Do not over tighten. Clean exterior and interior with a damp cloth. To clean the Burr mechanism run 1/3 cup of rice through the grinder. Enjoy!
Usage Instructions:
To select the coarseness, rotate the adjustable washer. For fine grind, rotate clockwise and for coarse grind rotate anti clockwise.
Put coffee beans in the top section and test your setting with a few turns of the handle until you achieve your preferred coarseness.
Once all the coffee has been ground remove the ground coffee by opening the wooden drawer.
Different coffee makers will require different coarseness. As a guide you can grind fine coffee for making Espresso or for filter coffee. Grind coarse coffee for use with French press or percolator.
Care instructions:
Clean the grinder using a non-abrasive brush or damp cloth. Do not immerse the wooden parts in water.
First Use:
On first use you will need to attach the grinding handle. Simply unscrew the screw on the top of the grinder, attach grinder handle and replace the screw.
- Enjoy a relaxing cup of home brewed coffee with hand coffee grinder.
- Grind your own blend of fresh coffee beans and create your personal favorite taste.
- Mix spices like clove or cardamom and experiment with new tastes. Can also be used to grind dry spices.
- The body is made of Beech wood with easy to access drawer. The front drawer catches the ground coffee ready for brewing your own fresh blend of coffee.
- The grind is consistent and you can adjust the degree of grind to your needs. Set coarse grind for making coffee with percolator or French press. Set fine grind for making Espresso or using with drip filter.
