Description of POM sheet
POM has characteristics of rigid, high stiffness, good flexibility, antifriction and wear resistance. It has excellent mechanical properties, specific strength is up to 50.5MPa, specific
stiffness is up to 2650MPa which is very close to metal. The mechanical properties of POM changes small with
temperature, copolymer POM changes slightly larger than homopolymer POM. POM has high impact strength,
but the conventional impact is less than ABS and PC, POM for notch sensitivity, The notches ones impact
strength can drop as much as 90%. POM fatigue strength is very prominent, its fatigue strength can reach
35MPaafter 10 alternating loads up, while the PA and PC is only 28MPa. Creep resistance of POM and PA is
similar, under the situation of 20 C, 21MPa, 3000h its only get 2.3%, and it is little affected by temperature. POM friction factor is small, about wear
resistance, POM> PA66> PA6> ABS> HPVC> PS> PC, its PV limit is very large, and it can be self-lubricated.
