The Control Joint Bead eases the stresses of the basic expansion and contraction associated with inherent shrinkage during stucco curing stage of the cement stucco (generally exterior or gypsum plaster interior) coats and minor thermal expansion and contraction.
The product is available in standard length form but with varying depths, which is necessitated because of the wide depth of plastering requirements it is involved in. Movement bead consists of two lengths of stop bead linked with a white PVC extrusion. Movement bead allows +/- 3mm differential expansion or settlement movement between adjoining surfaces
