Heat Treatment
(A) normalizing
(1) Objective: grain refinement, to improve processing of base metal and weld regular comprehensive
mechanical properties, to eliminate work hardening, easy cutting.
(2)Method: the normalization of the parts into the furnace to be heated to a certain temperature,
1.5 to 2.5 mm per min heat baked air cooling, air cooling or mist cooling.
(3) Application: 16MnR high temperature holding time is too long, large austenite grain
size (normalized) 35 # forging (normalized) head, cylinder (normalized)
(B) quenching:
(1)Objective: To improve the comprehensive mechanical properties of parts.
(2)Method: quenching and tempering (500 °C above). Get sorbite.
(3)Application: head, cylinder, flange, tube panels. 20MnMo 20MnMoNb 13MnNiMoNb 900 °C ~ 950 °C 2 min to 3.5 min / mm water + air cooling.

(2) 30Mn 40Mn 35CrMoA
Hardness HB = 187 ~ 229 with sub-temperature quenching.
