Can any charger be used?
Only use a suitable charger for your battery. The chargers are specially adapted to the different batteries (manufacturer, types, capacity). If you have any doubts, please ask your service partner.
Is there a specific initial charging time?
If possible, charge your lead acid battery for at least 24 hours before using it for the first time.
Is one full charge sufficient?
Note that a lead-acid battery only develops its full capacity after a few charging cycles.
How often does a battery need to be charged?
Use every opportunity to charge your battery. The deeper you discharge a battery, the shorter its life expectancy will be. The popular memory effect does not exist with lead-acid batteries.
How can discharged batteries be stored?
Never leave your lead-acid battery discharged! The battery should be charged after each use (this is especially important for storage during the winter months).
Are deep discharges harmful and what exactly does deep discharge mean?
Deep discharge is particularly harmful to your battery. This is the case if you take more than 60% of the capacity.
What do I have to consider when charging?
Lead batteries should always be charged when the consumer is switched off.
How long can batteries be stored without charging?
Batteries must also be live in winter, i.e. they must remain connected to the charger or be connected to your charger at regular intervals. We recommend at least 24 hours every two months.
