Production of the GPC ( Full Graphitized Petroleum Coke and Semi- Graphitized Petroleum coke )

 

After high-temperature "magic" treatment at 1800 ℃ -3000℃, the internal carbon atoms of graphitized petroleum coke transform from disordered to neatly arranged graphite structures - this is the birth process of graphitic petroleum coke carbonization agents.

 

Its core characteristics are high carbon, low sulfur, and low nitrogen. Far superior to ordinary calcined petroleum coke. This "refined" carburetor can not only supplement carbon efficiently, but also reduce defects such as porosity and slag inclusion in castings, which can be called the "golden supporting role" of the casting industry


Color and Gloss: Graphitic petroleum coke carbonization agents typically appear gray black or black in color, with a stronger metallic luster and a shiny black appearance. The enhancement of this luster is due to the more ordered arrangement of carbon atoms during the graphitization process. Formed a more compact structure.


Structure and texture: Graphitized petroleum coke carbonization agent has a porous structure, which helps to improve its specific surface area and reactivity, thus better exerting its carbonization effect in steelmaking and casting processes. The difference between full graphitization and semi graphitization Petroleum Coke (GPC )

1. Differences in crystal structure
The fully graphitized petroleum coke carbonization agent(Carbon raiser) undergoes high-temperature treatment above 2500-3000 ℃, resulting in a completely ordered layered arrangement of carbon atoms and a graphitization degree of ≥ 95%


The semi-graphitized ( Petroleum coke) carbon additive only needs to be treated at 1800-2500 ℃, with a graphitization degree of 60% -80% and retaining some disordered structure.

1. Improve casting performance and upgrade quality
