Properties
Dipotassium hydrogen phosphate trihydrate is a white crystal containing water. The anhydrous substance is a white powder. It is easily soluble in water, and the aqueous solution is slightly alkaline. It is slightly soluble in alcohol, has hygroscopicity, and self-dissolves at relatively high temperatures. Anhydrous dipotassium hydrogen phosphate is converted to potassium pyrophosphate when heated to 204°C.
