TEMU merchant products must qualify: EU ROHS certification

RoHS certification (EU Directive on the Restriction of the Use of Certain Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Equipment 2011/65/EU and (EU) 2015/863) is a mandatory compliance threshold for electrical and electronic products from the European station on the TEMU platform. The certification restricts the use of lead, mercury, cadmium, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDEs), polybrominated biphenyls (PBBs), and four phthalates (DEHP, BBP, DBP, and DIBP), totaling 10 categories of hazardous substances, aiming to protect consumer health and environmental safety.

TEMU platform requires that all electronic products must be submitted to a compliant RoHS test report before they are placed on the shelves. Products that are not uploaded on time or fail to pass the test will be forced to be removed from the shelves, and serious violations may lead to store blocking.

TEMU merchants ROHS certification process:

1, merchants to prepare prototypes, components BOM table, fill out the certification application form;

2, send samples to the laboratory for testing and evaluation;

3, the test passed to obtain qualified test reports and certificates;

4, merchants to upload the qualification of the TEMU background audit.
