DS200PCCAG9A is a power connection card manufactured and designed by General Electric, and is part of the EX2000 series used in General Electric excitation control systems. The power connection card (PCCA) provides an interface between the control circuit of the driver and the SCR power bridge. The PCCA board uses a pulse transformer to provide gate drive for the SCR bridge. For low to medium power controllers, the PCCA board also includes buffer circuits for controlling spikes on AC lines, DC buses, and gate drivers. For higher power controllers, some or all of the buffer circuits are omitted from the PCCA board and located elsewhere in the system. The PCCA board has ten group numbers. The group number used in the system is determined by the system voltage, frame size, and whether the system uses regenerative or non regenerative power conversion.
