APPLICATION
LT-02 leak tester is the first generation automatic vacuum tester introduced by Cell Instruments. The ASTM D3078 is the standard test method for determination of gross leaks in flexible packaging containing a headspace gas by bubble emission. The test is conducted by submerging the test specimen in the immersion fluid within the confines of a vacuum chamber.
LT-02 leak tester is a first-generation automatic leak tester introduced by CELTEC. It conforms to ASTM D3078 bubble emission vacuum leak test method. LT-02 is suitable for seal integrity tests for various package forms used in food, pharmaceutical,medical, stationery, cosmetics, packaging sectors, etc.
B. The leak tester creates an internal and external pressure difference between the inside and outside of the sample. Its seal integrity can be observed by the recovery of the sample shape after its expansion due to inflation.
PRINCIPLE
The specimen is submerged in the water within the vacuum chamber, and then the vacuum chamber is evacuated to form a pressure difference between the inside and outside of specimen. The seal performance can be obtained by observing whether there are steady progression of bubbles from the specimen and how the specimen expands and restores to its original shape after vacuum release.
