VOK®-MB-16 is a broad-effect mildew inhibitor, suitable for water-based and solvent-based coatings. VOK®-MB-16 antiseptic and mildew inhibitor can effectively inhibit the propagation of mold, prevent the discoloration of the coating film or the deterioration of the coating. It does not contain mercury and heavy metals, and has low solubility in water.

Characteristics and use:

VOK®-MB-16 can inhibit the propagation of mold, prevent the discoloration of coating film or deterioration of coating, and has good effect in high humidity environment.

● It does not contain mercury or heavy metals and has low toxicity.

● It will not react with sulfide in the atmosphere, and the film will not turn black.

● Good anti-mildew effect and good durability.

● Water-based and oil-based systems are common and can be used indoors or outdoors.

Scope of application:

Emulsion coating, alkyd resin coating, seam sealant, leather, wood, paper, water-based coating, wood protective coating, adhesive, fabric, pulp.

Amount added:

1. For 3.0-9.0% of the total amount, the addition amount can be increased depending on the environment and climate conditions. The higher the addition amount is, the longer the mildew prevention period of the film is.

2. In solvent-based alkyd resin coatings, the higher the content of PA, the VOK®-MB-16 The addition of can be reduced. In water soluble latex coatings, oil or alkyd modified latex requires a higher amount of VOK®- MB-16。

3. It can be added at any stage of paint manufacturing. Generally, a part of it is added during grinding, and the rest is added during adjustment, which can achieve good results.

Storage:

The product should be stored in a cool and ventilated place, and the container should be kept tightly away from heat and fire sources.

● When the pH value of the paint system is higher than 8.5, VOK®- MB-16 may hydrolyze and lose its effect.

● Do not use it with primary amine or secondary amine, so as to avoid producing by-products with odor.

● Cobalt drier will work with VOK®- MB-16IC-106 forms a green complex, please use manganese or zirconium drier instead.

● This product cannot be used in environmental sanitation or pollution prevention.
