In contrast, the insulator with a double umbrella structure has no grooves under the umbrella, and the underside of the umbrella is smooth without edges and has an open shape. Therefore, the ceramic insulator with a double umbrella structure has good self-cleaning performance in wind and rain, and the natural pollution rate is low. The above advantages, together with the large creepage distance, so the products of the double-umbrella structure insulators usually have good pollution and pressure resistance. In a dusty environment, transmission lines usually use umbrella-shaped insulators.
