What is the UK UKCA certification, power supply UKCA certification process and information, what is the UK UKCA certification? UKCA is the United Kingdom Conformity Assessed for What.
On 2 February 2019, the UK government announced the UKCA logo scheme it would adopt in the event of a no-deal Brexit. This means that after 29 March, trade with the UK will be conducted under World Trade Organisation rules. Eu laws and regulations will no longer apply to the UK. UKCA certification will replace the CE certification currently implemented in the European Union, and the vast majority of products will be included in the scope of certification.
On January 31, 2020, the UK/EU Withdrawal Agreement was ratified and officially entered into force. The UK is currently entering a transition period from the EU, during which it will consult with the European Commission. The transition period is scheduled to end on December 31, 2020. When the UK leaves the European Union on 31 December 2020, the UKCA mark will become the new UK product mark.
Ii. Use of UKCA Logo:
1. Most (but not all) products currently covered by the CE mark will be covered by the new UKCA mark;
2. The use rules of the new UKCA mark are consistent with those of the current CE mark;
3. If Britain leaves the EU without a deal, the British government will notify a time-limited period. If the production and compliance assessment of the product has been completed by the end of 29 March 2019, the manufacturer may still use the CE mark to sell the product in the UK market before the end of the restriction period;
4. If the manufacturer's product is scheduled to be subjected to a third party compliance assessment by the UK Compliance Assessment Agency, and the data is not transferred to the EU approved agency, the product will need to apply for the UKCA mark after 29 March 2019 to enter the UK market;
5. The UKCA mark will not be recognized in the EU market and products that currently require the CE mark will continue to require the CE mark for sale in the EU.
3. What are the specific requirements for UKCA certification marks?
The UKCA mark consists of the letters "UKCA" in a grid, with "UK" above "CA". UKCA symbols shall be at least 5mm in height (unless other dimensions are required in specific regulations) and shall not be deformed or used in different proportions. The UKCA label is clearly visible, clear and. This can affect the suitability of different label specifications and materials - for example, products exposed to high temperatures and requiring UKCA marking will need to have a heat resistant label to ensure compliance with regulations.
4. When will UKCA certification come into effect?
If you have placed your product on the UK market (or in an EU country/territory) before 1 January 2021, no action is required.
