How to install the thermostat.
Step 1: Find the installation location of the thermostat. The thermostat is normally installed at the interface of the cylinder head mounted upper hose.
Step 2: Drain the antifreeze, loosen the thermostat mounting screws, remove the upper cover and clean the old gasket.
Note: If the old gasket is not cleaned up, it will cause the upper thermostat cover to be unevenly stressed and easily broken. If the two screw holes are not cleaned of debris and antifreeze, the air inlet pipe will be broken.
Step 3: Glue the thermostat to increase the total thickness of the seal (you can also do without glue).
Step 4: Install the glued thermostat into the mounting position and gently vibrate to fill the mounting surface with glue and stick to the surface.
Step 5: Apply glue to the thermostat pad.
Step 6: Put the glued thermostat pad on well and compact it.
Step 7: Apply glue to the thermostat cover.
Step 8: Put on the screws.
Step 9: Fill with antifreeze and start.
Note: Make sure to open the thermostat once to check for leaks.
