Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene (UHMWPE) is a resin based product having molecular weight greater than 4million gm. /mol. It is important that we do not confuse UHMWPE with High-Density Polymer (HDPE) because HDPE does not exhibit superior wear characteristics as UHMWPE due to its lower molecular weight. As the molecular weight of polyethylene increases, its abrasion resistance and non-stick characteristics are enhanced. These liners are extensively used all over the world as ideal flow promotion liners.

Application :Chutes, silos, Bins, Launders for fines handling declaimer buckets conveyor skirting etc. where the surface to be lined needs excellent flow ability and abrasion wear resistance.

UHMWPE can be produced as bearing, axle sleeve, gear, airproof-piece and other parts. These products can be used in the field of Textile machinery, food machinery, packing machinery, Electric appliance, transport machinery

The UHMWPE profiles using polyethylene with 1.5~4 million molecular weight has an outstanding performance, including wearability, self-lubrication, low temperature bearing, impact bearing, not caking, anti-corrosion and low water-absorptivity

As UHMW-PE has an extremely low friction coefficient (0.1-0.22), its self lubrication is excellent. Dynamic friction factor is 1/2 of PA66 and POM under water lubrication conditions.

Wear resistance of UHMWPE is the highest among the plastics, which is several times that of the carbon steel, brass.When the molecular weight reaches 1.5 million, the impact strength of UHMW-PE reaches the maximum value which is the highest value 

UHMWPE has excellent chemical resistance and can bear various corrosive media, such as, acid, alkali, salt (unstable in concentrated sulfuric acid, concentrated hydrochloric acid, concentrated nitric acid, halogenated hydrocarbon

UHMWPE has excellent low temperature resistance which is the best among the existing plastics. It still has ductility at liquid helium temperatures (-269 centigrade); therefore, it can be used as low-temperature component

Water absorption rate of UHMW-PE is very low, which is generally less than 0.01% and 1% of PA66. Therefore, drying is not necessary before molding, and products` dimensional changes in humid environments will not occur due to water absorption

Applications of UHMWPE are very extensive and it mainly applies to following aspects:1, Building machinery, agriculture machinery, mining machinery; e.g. liners for silos, hoppers, dump trucks, railcars and chutes.2, Transporting machinery
