The S1 Sensor Beacon has a compact 50 by 50 by 15mm form factor, weighs 26g, and comes in an IP66 rated dust- and waterproof-case with an operating temperature range of -40 to +70 C, making it suitable for use in harsh industrial environments. Temperature readings are accurate to ±0.5 C, while humidity readings are within 2.5 percent relative humidity.
The sampling rate for temperature and humidity readings is 1 Hz, with the collected data transmitted via Bluetooth low energy connectivity provided by Nordic’s nRF52832 SoC to iOS or Android Bluetooth 4.0 (and later) smartphones and tablets running BeaconSET application software. From the BeaconSET app, users can check real-time temperature and humidity data, as well as view historical temperature and humidity changes represented on a curve graph. The data can also be transmitted to a network gateway and stored in the Cloud, allowing for online PC-based data analysis.
S1 portable temperature&humidity sensor features most as IP66 waterproof level, which is suitable for most indoor and outdoor environment. It is of light weight and small size. Due to shutter design, the detector will be more sensitive with enough fresh air flow. So the sensor can collect more precise data. Also it is very easy to assemble, just directly attaching to the place where need.
Based on BLE 4.0 low energy protocol, S1 can work for a long time. Once combined with app, it can achieve functions such as real-time temperature&humidity information collection and remote monitoring, thus reducing work strength and labor cost. It is one ideal environmental measure instrument with convenience, quickness,security, precision and low energy.
It can be used to measure environmental temperature and humidity in fields such as industrial inspection, civil inspection, machine manufacture, environmental protection and metering so on. So its application occasions cover: laboratory, clean workshop, collection place, home, agricultural greenhouse, weather station, national defense and science research, posts and communications, tobacco, chemistry and engineering, environmental protection, archive and library, server room, storage, medical treatment and public health, hotel, food storeroom, and grain reserve.
