Sunrise’ high quality spandex yarn is used in the production of many spandex products.
Spandex has many wonderful qualities: it allows free body movement, yet at the same time it fits snugly and properly on one’s body. It is neither too tight nor too loose, but just right. Clothing made out of spandex remains unwrinkled and retains its shape very well.
Spandex is used extensively in the manufacture of many types of clothing including: sportswear, women’s tights, underwear, girdles, bras, socks, yoga tights, jeans, business suits and many other clothes. Virtually any type of clothing can be improved with spandex for it allows the wearer to move freely and not feel that their clothes are too tight, yet at the same time the clothes fit properly and aren’t too loose.
Spandex also has many other applications. It is used in such things as car seat covers, bandages, and other medical applications like orthopedic socks, sutures, and even in things like artificial organs. It has a million uses!

History and Development
1996 Established Hangzhou QingYun Group. The Group now includes spandex, chemical raw materials, machinery and logistic businesses.
2002 Established Hangzhou Sunrise Spandex Co. Ltd. which is the 1st spandex manufacturing company in Hangzhou area.
2003 Started up Sunrize Spandex production Phase 1 and 2 of total capacity of 6,000tons/year.
2004 Started up Sunrize Spandex production Phase 3 of total capacity of 6,000tons/year.
2007 Awarded as the National Torch Program High Technology Enterprise.
2008 R&D department formed.
2009 Obtained 6 national patents Established Donghua University – sunrise Spandex Co. Graduate Student Training & Technology Innovation Center.
2010 Completed Phase 1, 2 and 3 upgrading. Commercialized new products for CK, WK and heavy denier markets. Awarded as the National High Technology Enterprise.
2011 Phase 3 line 7 started up with new spinning technology.
2013 Phase 4 start up (8,000t/yr).
