The 1064 Long Pulsed Nd:YAG LASER
which can be safely and successfully used for the removal of hair on all skin types, is the ideal solution for clinic.
One of the many advantages of using Laser light at 1064nm is that melanin absorption is very low. As a result the risk of skin pigmentation damage, either hyper or hypo, is very low, making long pulsed Nd:Yag lasers the only choice for hair removal on skin types III-VI.
The Polaris long pulsed Nd:Yag can also be used for the treatment of red and blue, broken capillaries on both the leg and the face.
Working Principle:
Laser technology has greatly improved the ability to treat melanocytic lesions and tattoos with the rapidly pulsed Q-switch neodymium: yttrium aluminium garnet (Nd: YAG) laser. The laser treatment of pigmented lesions and tattoos are based on principle of selected photothermolysis. The QS laser Systems can successfully lighten or eradicate a variety of benign epidermal and dermalpigmented lesions and tattoos with minimal risk of untoward effects.
Application:
Blue, grey and black tattoos can be removed with a Q-switched Nd:YAG laser (1064 nm wavelength).
The colour of the tattoo and the depth of the pigment influence the duration and the outcome of the laser treatment.
Laser treatment involves the selective destruction of ink molecules that are then absorbed by macrophages and eliminated.
Typical settings are pulse duration: 10 nanoseconds, output energy: 300¬500Mj.
